Terms and Conditions: Elite Taekwon-Do NI

By registering with Elite Taekwon-Do NI through our booking system (Wellyx), you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms constitute a legal agreement between you (the member/parent) and the Club.


1. Membership & Registration

  • Eligibility: All members must complete a health declaration via Wellyx before their first session.
  • Accuracy: You agree to keep your contact and emergency details updated via the Wellyx app.

2. Payments & Fees

  • Direct Debits: Monthly memberships are processed via GoCardless through Wellyx. Payments are taken on the 1st or 15th of each month.
  • Failed Payments: We reserve the right to charge a small administration fee for failed payments or to restrict access to classes until the balance is cleared.
  • Grading Fees: Belt examinations are separate from monthly tuition and must be paid in advance.

3. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Membership Cancellation: To cancel your membership, you must provide 30 days’ notice via email to elitetaekwondoni@gmail.com.
  • Class Bookings: If you cannot attend a booked session, please cancel via the Wellyx app at least 2 hours before the start time to allow others on the waiting list to join.
  • Refunds: We do not offer refunds for missed classes or partial months of membership.

4. Code of Conduct (The Dojang Rules)

To maintain the integrity of Taekwon-Do, all members must:

  • Show respect to instructors (Sabum/Sahyun) and fellow students.
  • Arrive at least 5 minutes before class starts.
  • Wear the correct uniform (Dobok) and ensure it is clean and pressed.
  • Follow the five Tenets of Taekwon-Do: Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-Control, and Indomitable Spirit.

5. Health, Safety & Liability

  • Nature of Sport: You acknowledge that Taekwon-Do is a contact sport involving physical exertion and risk of injury.
  • Waiver: By participating, you agree that Elite Taekwon-Do NI and its instructors are not liable for any injuries sustained during training, provided that we have adhered to standard safety protocols and duty of care.
  • Medical Fitness: You must inform the instructor of any injury or illness prior to the start of every class.

6. Safeguarding & Photography

  • Safeguarding: We follow strict NI safeguarding protocols. Our designated safeguarding officers are Dean Pritchard / Tracey Stirling.
  • Media: We occasionally take photos/videos for promotional purposes. If you (or your child) wish to be excluded from these, you must indicate this in your Wellyx profile preferences.

7. Changes to Service

Elite Taekwon-Do NI reserves the right to:

  • Amend the class timetable with reasonable notice.
  • Close for bank holidays, Easter, Halloween, July and during the Christmas period (fees are calculated annually to account for these breaks).
  • Update these Terms and Conditions at any time.
