Meet the Head Coach, Dean Pritchard! 🌟 Dean was promoted to 1st Degree black belt in 2013, 2nd Degree in 2017, and 3rd Degree in 2021. 🥋He competed locally at the Northern Ireland championships and nationally, achieving the titles of Irish and British champion across all categories (patterns, sparring, and special technique).Dean has also competed internationally in Mexico, Holland, Estonia, Italy, Belarus, and Greece.As an active competitor, Dean sets an example for his students.Not only has he been successful in his own competitions, but he has also been instructing students for over a decade, passing on his expertise. Some of his students have gone on to become European and world champions.He is ready to lead you to greatness. Let’s train & learn together.Â
What is Junior Taekwon-Do?
Junior Taekwon-Do classes create a fun and inviting environment that will make your child feel at home, surrounded by supportive peers and an experienced instructor who is passionate about teaching Taekwon-Do. It focuses on the fundamentals of Taekwon-Do such as Balance, Coordination and Discipline by Implementing the five tenets of Taekwon-Do (Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-Control and Indomitable Spirit ). The Junior Taekwon-Do program is based around the International Taekwondo Federation (ITF) syllabus for the first two beginner belts, broken down into smaller sections that is tailored to the needs and abilities of children, ensuring that they progress at their own pace and have a blast while doing it.
Family Taekwon-Do
Family Taekwon-Do classes are open and fun for everyone, whether you are training alone, with your child, friend, partner or colleague. The classes are tailored to provide a challenging workout for all and follow the syllabus of the International Taekwon-Do Federation (ITF) to include all aspects of Taekwon-do training (E.g patterns, sparring, destruction pad work and self defence techniques).
Kick-Fit
Kick-Fit is specifically designed as a high intensity workout for fitness, flexibility and better overall health. Kick-Fit is more than just a workout, it’s a community of like minded individuals who share a passion for fitness and martial arts.This class combines Taekwon-Do techniques that will push you to your limits, while focusing on raising your heart rate, burning calories and increasing the technique of your punches and kicks.You will leave this class feeling energised, empowered and ready to tackle any challenge that comes your way.
Beginner Taekwon-Do
Beginner Taekwon-Do is designed to introduce you to this dynamic martial art, providing a safe and supportive environment to learn the fundamentals. As a beginner you’ll learn stances, blocks, punches and kicking techniques building a solid foundation in Taekwon-Do. Under the guidance of our experienced instructor, you’ll gain valuable self-defence skills, learning how to effectively protect yourself against potential threats. This class is for those who want to start their Taekwon-Do journey following the full International Taekwon-Do Federation (ITF) syllabus. The class will be for students from a White belt beginner up to and Blue tag.
Advanced Taekwon-Do
Whether you are a seasoned Taekwon-Do practitioner or seeking to refine your skills, our advanced class provides the perfect platform to elevate your taekwondo journey to the next level. This class will sharpen your reflexes and movement, enhance your combat strategy, and develop the ability to react intuitively in sparring situations. Our advanced class focuses on mastering intricate kicking techniques, advanced footwork and perfecting the sharpness and quality of patterns, allowing you to apply your taekwondo techniques under pressure, enhancing your ability to defend yourself effectively in real world scenarios. This class is for Blue Belt Students and above.
